JAPANESE DICTIONARIES FOR GoldenDict
ようこそ!

Are you a Japanese student? I'm a Japanese student myself, and for the longest time I've looked for Japanese dictionaries for the GoldenDict on the Internet, specially those focused on the study of kanji.

Being a user of GD since its first release, I got constantly frustrated by the lack of specialized studying materials for it - to this day I'm yet to find a single decent kanji dictionary for it!

Eventually, at some point I gave up looking for dictionaries, and started learning to compile my own dictionaries using freely available Japanese resources on the Internet. This gave me the freedom to choose and to adapt each source material to my own studying needs - a process that, over the years, grew into a collection of almost fourty dictionaries, and evolved into a method of kanji studying of my own.

All dictionaries were converted from publicly available sources, free for personal and commercial use - most of them derive from the excellent works of James Breen and the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group. A license file is included with every dictionary.
